250 mA 3,3 V Low Quiescent Current LDO Voltage Regulator

Microchips MCP1702 and 1703 families are decent voltage regulators because of their low quiescent current of about 2 μA. Therefore they're very useful for battery driven applications.
For example to drive a low power microcontroller from a 9V battery.


  • 2.0 μA Typical Quiescent Current
  • Input Operating Voltage Range: 2.7V to 13.2V
  • 250 mA Output Current
  • Low Dropout (LDO) voltage - typical 525 mV.
  • 0.4% Typical Output Voltage Tolerance
  • Output voltage 3.3V
  • Stable with 1.0 μF to 22 μF output capacitance
  • Short-Circuit Protection
  • Overtemperature Protection
